Byron Vanderpool, Government Services Director, manages LCOG's Government Services Division. Byron joined the LCOG staff in 1998, and provides direct services to LCOG's members in the areas of technology, communications, and public safety planning and analysis. Byron has more than 30 years of varied experience in all phases of local government operations. 

Byron holds BAs in Biology and German Language from the University of Oregon. Prior to his work at LCOG, Byron worked in the City of Eugene Finance and Police Departments, and served over 13 years as the Assistant to the Chief of Police for the City of Springfield.  email
