The
Community and Regional Planning Program (CARP), brings together
15 staff members whose skills include urban and regional planning,
economic development, natural resource and telecommunication planning,
and legal services.
The core of
the CARP Program consists of natural resource and land use planning
services. The new program reflects the reality that CARP members
often participate in projects that require the integration of land
use planning skills and natural resource expertise. Joining these
staff members in a common program allows for more efficient information
sharing and project coordination. Closer integration of staff also
provides for more efficient cross training and allows planning problems
to be addressed from multiple perspectives and backgrounds.
