The Eugene-Springfield Metropolitan Area General Plan, or Metro Plan, is this metropolitan area’s comprehensive plan. The Metro Plan planning process is an inter-jurisdictional effort among the Cities of Eugene and Springfield and Lane County, and its policies and diagram provide guidance on how land use, natural resources, public facilities, and the local economy should be developed, designed, and/or conserved over time. 

LCOG maintains the Metro Plan and related metropolitan planning documents, and provides coordination, technical assistance, and project management for planning efforts.
