Home Care Worker Program
A home care worker is a person who is employed by a consumer-employer of Senior & Disability Services to provide assistance to eligible older adults or people with physical disabilities. The requirements to be a home care worker, were established by Oregon’s Home Care Commission. Requirements include:
- 18+ years of age
- Completion of a Home Care Worker application, as directed by each local office
- Attendance of a Home Care Worker orientation, provided by S&DS
- Capability of providing or learning to provide necessary care
- Passage of a background check and criminal history clearance
