Oregon Emergency Management MSAG

msag

LCOG maintains the Master Street Address Guide (MSAG) database of street names and house number ranges that define Emergency Service Zones (ESZs) and their associated Emergency Service Numbers (ESNs) to enable 911 calls to route to the correct call center, and to help identify which district should respond to a call. Oregon Emergency Management (OEM) also provides resources from the State 911 Excise Tax to develop, maintain and update Geographic Information Systems (GIS) mapping data for all of the Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) in the State of Oregon.

LCOG maintains ambulance, fire district, city limit, and other boundaries needed for emergency response, and creates maps illustrating a wide variety of information needed by emergency services. LCOG maintains a road centerline file, and also an address point file for all valid addresses in Lane County, so that these addresses may be mapped - resulting in the improved response time of emergency services personnel.
