About the Regional Land Information Database (RLID)

The Regional Land Information Database (RLID) is the central resource for land-based information in Lane County, Oregon. RLID is both a repository of integrated land records and a web system for finding and reporting information about properties within the county. RLID combines data from government business systems across the region with mapping information from shared Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to provide a unique and valuable resource for the governments, businesses, and citizens of Lane County and beyond.

RLID is jointly developed by the cities of Eugene and Springfield, Lane County, the Eugene Water & Electric Board (EWEB), LCOG and its member agencies. It is an achievement of collaboration and data sharing among local government agencies in Lane County spanning more than 40 years. The partnership is unique with the State of Oregon and noteworthy on a broader national scale for its long history of successes in the regional development and sharing of geographic information that is fundamental to the workings of government.

Adding to RLID's success since 2000 has been a steadily growing subscriber community of non-partner agencies, businesses, and individuals. The resulting public-private partnership offers a win-win-win value proposition. For the government partners RLID reduces costly duplication of data and systems costs, provides a convenient one-stop shop for shared data access, and offers a model of effective local agency collaboration. For business users RLID offers operational efficiency, unique information services, and value-added support. For citizens of Lane County RLID demonstrates their representative governments coming together in meaningful ways to improve both the quality of the information agencies collect and maintain as well as the effectiveness with which they apply it in their daily operations.
