Commuter Data

The first two dashboards below illustrate a number of key statistics related to commuting by workers from their home to their place of work.  The first dashboard covers key measures such as the estimated number of commuting trips taken, the travel mode used, share of travel mode (as percentage of all work trips), as well as travel mode share by household poverty status and by vehicle availability.  The second dashboard shows commute lengths (in minutes) and time leaving home for work.  All of these measures can be explored and compared by geography and by year. The third dashboard explores the spatial patterns of local and regional commuting from place of residence to primary workplace.  More information about each dashboard, and the data sources used, can be found on their individual pages.
